Trackpal Roadmap 2014

A Year of Developments

We realise that reporting is constantly becoming more of a challenge within the fast-paced marketing industry. We are working in a time when new data sources are springing up every day. While we believe that the accessibility of more useful data is always positive, it does mean that we’re kept on our toes to make sure your reports are as up-to-date and relevant as possible!

Our Plan for the Year Ahead

At Trackpal we like to follow an agile approach to development in order to update our solutions in line with any changes that occur in the industry. At the end of 2013 we decided to make strategic plans for the year ahead so we can keep track of our creative vision for Trackpal. We want to keep you in the loop about these plans so you know what to expect and how our developments will benefit you directly. That’s why we’ve decided to create a roadmap for 2014 which we’re sharing with you. This roadmap acts as our guide for the year ahead and is subject to change depending on any unforeseen changes in the industry. With all the predictions that are made around this time of year there’s only one that we are certain about – that this year, like 2013, will be unpredictable and exciting.

Q1

  • In the first three months of the year we’ll continue to make infrastructure upgrades so that Trackpal is as stable and robust as possible for all your reporting needs.
  • Continued developments are well under way to give you greater power to customise your own reports. This will benefit you as you’ll be able to hide any data that you don’t want to report on so that your reports are unique to you.
  • We have already integrated Google Webmaster Tools into our new report template and will continue to focus on the best way to make this data most useful to you.
  • Towards the end of this quarter we will be adding key social data into your reports to give you greater insights into your content marketing campaigns.

Q2

  • At present, our data analysts are continuing their research into the insight we can gain from landing page data. We hope to roll out even further landing page trending in your reports early this quarter.
  • An important goal for us at this time will be to integrate multiple goals from Google Analytics into our templates. We plan for this to be ready towards the end of quarter.
  • Another important factor we plan to introduce into our reporting templates will be backlink data. In the 2nd quarter of the year we will spend time on these developments, ready to roll out in Q3.
  • We will continue developing the ability for you to customise your own reports. We aim to have easy report customisation ready for you by the beginning of Q3.

Q3

  • In Q3 we will be developing paid search reporting opportunities. We will be working on pulling Adwords data for new PPC report templates ready to roll out by the end of the year.
  • We aim to incorporate backlink data into our reporting templates and have this live by the middle of Q3.

Q4

  • We envisage that we will be designing our PPC report templates in the last quarter of the year. We will be working closely with our customers to help them with their individual needs.
  • Who knows what else may have happened in the world of digital marketing reporting by the end of 2014?! One thing we’re sure of is that we will be working hard on any customer requests, or changes that have occurred in the industry.

Please let us know if you have any feedback on any of our plans by dropping us an email. We want to make your reporting as streamlined and profitable as possible in 2014.
